Who am I  – Tim Gies

I am a Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager, with 14 years of experience in the Temporarily Employment, Food, Wholesale and Retail Industry working with a number of the World’s leading brands including Ordina, Randstad Group, Omron and VION Food Group. To get experience in the health care industry I started in May 2010 as PM at Amarant. I possess specialized knowledge of ERP, PDM, eCommerce and ECM solutions and have experience across the full software development life cycle. Latest point off interest are Faceted Navigation, data visualization and Agile software development with SCRUM.

Business and IT Professional

As business and IT professional my focus is improving organizations in a continues way. This is all about vision, strategy, understanding complex business processes, people, roles and responsibilities, information, functional and technical environments and the road map of changes needed (on all levels) to accomplish this.

Experience in a nutshell

As professional I started in the role of information coordinator (1996). In this role I was charged with the duty of collecting, analyzing and processing information. Including make it presentable in a reader-friendly format and distributing information according to the policies of the organization I worked for. I also supported the logistic application on a functional level and supported system administration activities. This resulted in a role change to ICT manager (1997 – 1999).

To get more experience in the optimization and changes of business processes plus the integration with technology the step to Business Analyst and ERP consultant (1999 – 2002) was obvious.

Missing operational managerial experience I applied for a Business Application Service management role (2002 – 2006). Besides operational management activities I also managed a lot of projects.

Based on above experience I started pluq (2007 – present) to offer my experience as freelance Project Manager and business consultant/ analyst.
